Teeth Cleanings

Twice a year, you should schedule a routine dental cleaning. During this visit, one of our dental hygienists will remove plaque from your teeth, especially from places where your brush can’t, such as underneath the gum line and in-between teeth.

Fluoride is an important advancement in dental and oral health. Studies consistently show that a moderate but consistent exposure of teeth to fluoride helps strengthen and rebuild tooth structure, and helps prevent future decay. Fluoride treatments are recommended for all ages, but insurance usually only covers treatments through adolescence. Fluoride has been shown to reduce sensitivity and root decay in adults. Please ask our staff if you are interested in this treatment.

Migraine Prevention

Migraines bring misery to the people who suffer from them.

This pain can be relieved with the use of an NTI device. An NTI is a dental mouthpiece that is created with the assistance of a dental professional. The mouthpiece attaches either to the top or bottom teeth, and is custom-designed to position your teeth in a perfect “rest” position – (which prevents grinding/clenching and may reduce the intensity of migraines.)

Traditional Orthodontics

Traditional orthodontics (brackets, bands and wires) are available for patients of all ages. Dr. Juliani will evaluate the need for orthodontics at the periodic exam or during a scheduled consultation. For more extensive cases, a referral to an orthodonic specialist may be necessary.

Dental Sealants

One of the most common places that tooth decay develops is on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (molars). To prevent decay on adult teeth, sealants are recommended. Sealants are easily applied, and it takes only a few minutes to seal each tooth. The teeth are cleaned and prepared, then the sealant is "painted" onto the tooth enamel, where a special light is used to harden the sealant. Sealants are placed upon eruption of the 6-year molars and 12-year molars.

Desensitizing Agents

Our office offers products that can temporarily reduce painful tooth sensitivity often caused by temperature changes, acidic or sweet foods and recession. The desensitizer is simply brushed onto the sensitive area(s). Application takes just a few minutes and can be done at any routine dental visit.
